each year, one in January and one in June. In addition, the LWV
Steuben quarterly Board meetings are open to all members.

Virtual Winter Brunch, Sat., Feb. 5, 2022, 11 am
New York Health Care Reform
Our annual winter brunch will be held on Sat., Feb. 5 by Zoom. We will gather
at 11:00 am for a discussion of health
care reform in this legislative session in Albany with YuLing Koh
Hsu, Co-Director of the Campaign for
New York Health, and Susan Beckley, a small business administrator.
Our speakers will explain how the NY Health Act would establish
universal, comprehensive
healthcare
in New
York. After the presentations, we will have a short business meeting
and virtual brunch.

Students Inside Albany, May 22-25, 2022

We are happy to announce that the 2022 Students
Inside Albany conference will be an in-person event. It will take place will take place May
22-25, 2022. If you would like to submit your name for consideration
as a student representative from LWV Steuben and Chemung, click here for application information.
We try to send at least one high school student
from our counties to the program each year. The program offers
a wonderful opportunity for high school students from our counties
to learn how laws are made in New York and to meet like-minded
students from other parts of the state. There is no cost to the
student who is selected.
